It is a simple and elegant bouquet with Oriental Lilliums, Roses and Ivy. As the bride was overseas until a few days before the wedding, the flowers were organised by consulting with the groom and the bride sending pictures via email – this way we managed to create the very look the bride wanted and she was very happy with her flowers. The ivy, along with the pale cream roses, creates a nostalgic, romantic look while the oriental lilliums add some showiness.
Here we have the flowers for the bridal table table and one of the guest table arrangements for a wedding at Munja Gardens in Baldivis on 18th December.
The arrangements feature Oriental Lilliums which are great wedding flowers – the large blooms are very showy and the sweet fragrance will remind the bride of her special day every time she comes across them.
When the bride first asked about using these two different shades of pink, I wasn’t sure they would work, but in the end I was very pleased with the result. The cerise gerberas go very well with the two-tone pink gerberas and make a very pretty bouquet.
The posy above is the brides bouquet, the one to the right was used as the throw-away (or toss) bouquet, but this style would suit as a bouquet for a little flower girl.
From last weekends wedding here is a trailing style bouquet (picture on the left – also known as a ‘teardrop’ or ‘cascade’) featuring White Oriental Lilliums and Red Roses with White Dendrobium Orchids. The bridesmaids posy (right) has White Oriental Lilliums and White Roses.
Sorry – not the best photo’s I’ve taken – but we were flat out busy!
We have been very busy here at Hanging Basket Florist Rockingham as I have had some time off due to the birth of my baby girl at St John of God Hospital in Murdoch, so I am a bit late in posting this photo of a beautiful wedding bouquet we did on 17th July for a Rockingham wedding. The ivy gives the bouquet a nice flowing look. The bride was, of course, very happy with the flowers.
This bride chose white Oriental Lilliums with Mokara Orchids on decorative wire extending from her bouquet. Despite Autumn being rather wet and cold in Rockingham so far it actually turned out to be a beautiful weekend. See more wedding flowers from Hanging Basket Florist here.
